- the inclusion of non-majors or non-minors. we decided that it would be a good idea to include them to expose the student body to photography and the photo club.
- club dues. i know that college students are poor, but in order to fund various activities for the club (and to help fund the photo department as well), we thought that dues were a good idea as well.
- photography contests open to the student body. this will also aid in raising funds and awareness of the photo club.

William Anastasi Artist's Talk at the Wex
"A founding pioneer of both conceptual and minimal art, William Anastasi made works relevant to those kinds of artmaking before they were even named. Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, on August 11, 1933, he studied at the University of Pennsylvania...is featured in the permanent collections of the Museum of Modern Art (New York), the Walker Art Center, the National Gallery of Art, and the Metropolitan Museum of Art, among many others." taken from the wexner center for the arts website. you can see it in its entirety here.

It's Meeting Time! Oh Yeah!
April 29, 2008 at 5:30 P.M. in Haskett Hall, Room 4o6 (or 408 depending on who has the keys). Hopefully there will be food (trying to find the finances). We'll be going over the lineup change and the wordy stuff (bylaws) we need to finalize to become official!
Hope to see you there!

Photographer of the Month

okay, it's a bit late, but if you haven't scoped out the share board on the fourth floor of haskett, the photographer of the month happens to be alexander rodchenko. i figured since it's a political year, i would display a photographer whose work had some political meaning to it. you can read more about him here.
